This was a commission I did for

who requested a pin-up of the current Doctor Who and his assistant Amy pond. While having heard of the character, I admit that I'd never seen a Doctor Who episode, and was pretty unfamiliar with the mythology. But I did my homework on this one, and came up with an idea that I thought was a solid one. Surprisingly,

suggested I employ my familiar "bald girl" gag in this, which made the gag come pretty easy to me. But I got so into this piece that I allowed it to grow from a one panel illustration to a full page comic. Such was my enthusiasm!

Oh, and before I'm inundated with viewers telling me how much my version of Doctor Who looks like Shaggy from Scooby Doo, thanks, but I'm already aware. While working out my caricature of the current doctor, it struck me how much the actor already looked like Shaggy, sans goatee. So I said screw it, and allowed my rendition to evoke Shaggy.
