Don't know if I mentioned it, but I've recently been cast in a play called "Duck Hunter Shoots Angel", which is being performed at a community theater near where I live. The play was written by Mitch Albom, a Michigan sports writer who wrote the book "Tuesdays With Morrie." Anyway, the play's about two redneck duck hunters from the deep south who think they've shot an angel (I'm one of the hunters), and a writer and photographer from a sleazy tabloid who come down to get their story. One of the background characters from this show is an alligator man called Phil, who's frequently written about in the tabloid. So, sitting in rehearsal one day, I drew a quick sketch of what I thought Phil would look like on the cover of my script. According to the script, his top half's gator but his bottom half's human, hence no tail, which to me is sad, because I think alligators have the best tails in the animal kingdom. However, our gator man probably won't even look like this, since the mask we have is smaller and I think Phil will be wearing big coat. Anyway, based on the suggestion of my pal , I'm submitting sketches now, this being the first. I like it. Maybe you guys will too.
By the way, Duck Hunter Shoots Angel is copyright Mitch Albom. All rights reserved, I can only assume.
That title reminds me of when I was in a grociery store andthey had those silly magazines, "George Bush is an Alien" or "this man slept wit siamese alien twins from the planet of Mars". The one that made me laguh the mose was, "Duck Hunter Shoots Angel." The picture was a duck hunter standing near a pond with his dog and floating face down on the water was an angel.
