DEAD DUCK UPDATE 8/30/12: "DEAD DUCK: Ain't No Cure For A Summertime Bruise part 10" is here!: [link]
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
I just finished and sent out my last batch of commissions, so what say we jump in and do a new drive?
$10 COMMISSION DRIVE IS OPEN AGAIN! ANYTHING YOU WANT DRAWN IS FAIR GAME!, As usual, here are the rules:

*The first ten people who note me here on DA (or e-mail me at: fourpanelhero@hotmail.com) with a suggestion to draw, AND send me payment for it, will be put on the list and have their request honored.
*For just $10, I will draw anything you request, and will e-mail you a black and white digital file of the artwork. Please be sure to send me a link to some reference images.
*Be sure to give me your e-mail address so I can send you the art when it's done.
*You CAN request more than one character in a single drawing. Just know that it is $10 per character.
*You CAN request more than one drawing.
*Elaborate backgrounds are an extra $10
*Your request will NOT be locked in until I receive payment. Do NOT just write me with a request and assume your spot is saved. It's first pay, first serve. I accept PayPal, and you can access my account at:
fourpanelhero@hotmail.com
*When sending me notification that your payment has been sent to my PayPal, please include your REAL NAME as well as your DA handle, and the name of the cartoon character you've paid me to draw.
*THIS OFFER DOES NOT INCLUDE ORIGINAL ART--JUST DIGITAL FILES! I needed to make that clear since there's been confusion in the past.
*These commissions are only $10 per character--a very good, affordable, reasonable deal. So any requests for me to go back and change a drawing in any way will require an additional $10.
*I DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT I WILL POST YOUR COMMISSION IN MY GALLERY! It's nothing personal. You are more than welcome to post anything I draw for you on your own page. Just be sure to give me credit for the line work (and if it's a drawing of my characters, credit at their creator), and put in a link to my DA page.

NOTE: It may take me a month to complete these. But rest assured, I will get them to you, and I always leave my customers satisfied. So what're you waiting for? Send me those requests before the list gets filled!

Looks like I'm not the only one who remembers those old Hawaiian Punch commercials with the same gag with Dickie and Duck. I was a little kid then, and Mom never let that stuff into the house, though.

I didn't get beat up on a regular basis, thank goodness, but I did get into a couple of fights which were pretty quickly broken up by a coach or a teacher.

I'm sure you could make the cupcake thing funny, and I'm sure you could make it bittersweet. Maybe both.

Another Chuck Yeager moment with the Adolf and the oven joke. I do like it, though. There's a part in my favorite novel, Thomas Pynchon's Gravity's Rainbow (1973), in which a decrepit, perverted old Nazi rocket officer, Blicero, constructs an entire fantasy world for his two lovers Katje and Gottfried (he swings more to Gottfried's direction) based on Hansel and Gretel. Pretty creepy.

LOVE the hot witch woman in the background being hit on by Zeebub. Gwen also looks quite cute, and the unique heart frame for their kiss is one of those 11th-hour miracles.

Speaking from experience, that first kiss from a girl when you're a short, dorky-looking dude in grade school just pushes all reality aside for a few moments. "I didn't even know I had lips!"--great line, and shows just about how well your brain works after your first kiss like that at that time in your life. But hey, you married a saint of a woman, so all's well.

As for Dracula's line, a sports phrase that could fit would be "running interference" to keep DD distracted while Dracula tries to ruin it. To be sure, I'm not a total sports guy myself. The most sports merchandise I own would be the Super Bowl championship hat and shirt for the New Orleans Saints.

Excellent work.

Now that you mention it, I'm sure I meant to have Drac say "running interference". See? I just don't get sports.

Sunny: Um, we not about to see the origin of Zombie Chick, are we?

Eile: Yeah, 'cause Gwen's too nice a girl for that.

Nope, no Zombie Chick in this story. But I WILL be revealing Zombie Chick's origin next summer! Keep reading 'til then!

I love this part of the summer time bruise story line with the little party/prom but I'd like to know how the story for Lucifer goes, what with him making kissy-face at the buxom spell-caster while the kids cavort.

Without spoiling the story for anyone else, knowing the true nature of Zeebub, I'd guess he didn't get too far with the witch.

I wont say anything about this story, so as not to ruin it but for some reason, the way he looks in that one scene reminds me of Pete from Goof Troop/ The Goofy movie.

I can see that! The heavy set, sack-jawed cartoon characters are among my favorite visual archetypes!

That is what makes your style so great, while it is a style all its own, I can see so many different parts that remind me of other works, you've got a style that is both new and nostalgic.

I wont ruin the next stories of DD for anyone but there is another character that everyone has to see, much later on, that will be somewhat nostalgic as well.
